No. 2 Marquette shuts down Westwood in Ogea’s return

1/30/2019 | Game Recap | By Bryce Derouin

F acing Marquette’s defense is a test of one’s mental fortitude. There are the seven perimeter defenders who utilize their quickness to play up into you and pressure over the course of 32 minutes. And even if you manage to beat them off the dribble, Marius Grazulis protects the rim and you’re forced to contort your body to finish around his 6-foot-10 frame. The whole process can wear on you.

“They’re going to give everyone fits because they’re long, fast and athletic,” Westwood coach Chad Hewitt said. “They have four to five guys they can rifle in at the top and stay fresh. It’s tough to beat.”
