Bigs learn to dribble, attack the basket and shoot from the outside.
Guards are required to rebound and be able to post up.
But generally, those skills are used sparingly in special situations or to take advantage of mismatches.
It would be silly to have small guards in the paint posting up all the time. Unless, of course, that was the only option.
And right now for St. Ignace, it is.
