Houghton tops Ishpeming 75-65, but still has work to be done

T he Houghton Gremlins’ formula for success this season has not varied much since the opening night. George Butvilas and Brad Sirard must score, and they must score a lot. And, the 1-2-2 defense needs to effectively pack in the paint while not losing the ability to close out on the perimeter. The Gremlins did both of these things in spurts, but it was enough to roll past the Ishpeming Hematites 75-65 Wednesday in Houghton.
