Gladstone wins thriller against Esky on LaFave’s putback

I t was hard. Alaina Trudeau will admit that.

No team wants to lose its first six games of a season, but Trudeau knew there were better things coming.

So, Gladstone continued to go about its business. The Braves learned together, had fun together, and eventually, they found a way to win together.

“We stuck through it, we had to have confidence and we had to keep going,” she said. “I feel like we are at a really good point and we are starting to figure everything out with spreading the ball, shooting well, and Megan [Crow] is working in the middle. It is a great combination.”

Now, the Braves have won six of their last eight games and seem to be peaking at the right time. The latest evidence of their season turnaround is a 53-52 victory over rival Escanaba, on Monday in Esky.
