Darr steps up for No. 2 Marquette in win over Kingsford

W hen Marquette defeated Kingsford 82-58 on Friday, it wasn’t just a blowout win. No, this was a redemption story.

But to figure out why we have to backpedal a bit.

Liam Darr has always been a good shooter. Then, during his sophomore year, he learned to stop using the thumb on his guide hand to help him propel the ball forward.

Now, he’s a great shooter.

But if you sat in the stands for a Marquette game earlier this season you might not have noticed. In fact, you might not have noticed Darr at all.
