Carney-Nadeau’s Jake Polfus resigns as boys head coach

A s it stands now, for the first time in 40 years, a Polfus will not be on the sidelines for a Carney-Nadeau basketball program. 

Jake Polfus notified the school of his varsity head coaching resignation on Thursday after 11 seasons, while his father, Paul, resigned from the JV coaching role. Paul started his coaching career with the C-N girls program in 1979 and compiled a 501-125 record in 27 seasons. From 1996-2008, Paul was the boys head coach before Jake took over the program and tallied a 165-75 record through 11 years. Under Jake, the Wolves won two district championships and earned a state semifinal appearance in 2012 with a 22-3 record.
