2-11 boys roundup: Dollar Bay, Munising earn blowout wins

WATERSMEET

T he Dollar Bay Blue Bolts won their sixth game in a row, topping Watersmeet 92-65 on Monday in Watersmeet.

The game was a makeup for a contest previously postponed due to weather.

Ashton Jake led the way with 25 points on seven 3-pointers, and the Blue Bolts had five double-digit scorers.

Brendan LeClaire added 18, Drake Schmitz had 17, Connor LeClaire finished with 14 and Davin Hill scored 13.

The Blue Bolts got out to a 38-16 lead in the first quarter.

“We scored the ball extremely well tonight and played unselfishly,” Dollar Bay coach Jesse Kentala said. “Credit Watersmeet for playing hard and shooting well.”

UP NEXT

Dollar Bay (13-3) goes to Baraga today.

Watersmeet (1-12) travels to Jeffers today as well.
