T he Negaunee Miners got strong performances out of their three key players, Jakson Sager, Jason Waterman and Drew Lindberg as the Miners topped Manistique 52-45 on Friday in Negaunee.
Sager had 15, Lindberg scored 13 and Waterman finished with 12 points.
Sager and Waterman combined to score all 13 of Negaunee’s fourth-quarter points, as the Miners outscored Manistique 13-6 in the final frame.
For Manistique, Schyler Andersen had 17 points on five 3-pointers and two free throws.
Negaunee (7-6) hosts Gwinn on Friday.
Manistique (3-9) welcomes Gwinn earlier in the week, on Tuesday.
